The Trading Rates Management service delivers a reliable IT solution for trading rates management. It allows a quick consultation of all the available rate, ensuring a faster and more reliable delivery of price quotations to your clients.
Freight forwarders receive trade rates from shipping companies on a monthly basis, and sometimes even more often:
- the information provided by shipping companies often have different formats and layouts. They will be standardized to allow for quick and precise comparisons
- additional charges, special rates, and customized quotation will be added to the standard trade rate.
This service unfolds through two phases:
First, the freight forwarder receives the quotations from the shipping companies and shares them with Easylogicsoft without changing their format or layout.
Second, the Easylogicsoft team ensures the standardization of the quotations in a single layout and format, following the client's needs.
For what concerns the additional charges to the standard trade rates, the freight forwarder will be able to directly manage the updates thanks to our software interface, or it can outsource this activity to Easylogicsoft.
The client (freight forwarder) can examine the trade rates database accessing the related website. It can make use of the following functions:
- apply filters (per trade route, shipping company, individual destinations, geographical areas, equipment)
- compare different rates for the same destination offered by multiple shipping companies
- compute the overall price (trade rate + additional charges + transports + related costs)
The TRM service develops labor-intensive activities, and thus free ups resources the client can deploy for higher added value activities.
This service does not require any amendment to the software / IT system / existing operations.
The only technical requirement is a fast internet connection allowing for the access and examination of the relevant website. Moreover, the website is also operational via tablet or smartphone, for instance during a meeting at a client's venue.
It also possible to manage the trade rates update autonomously using pre-formatted excel files allowing to:
- insert new rates and the relative validity period,
- update old trade rates by adding new deadline and validity period of the new ones,
- update the relevant additional charges applied by each company,
- update the costs for mainland transports from the origin to the destination,
- insert the relevant data management costs related to agents at origin or destination.
Moreover, it is possible to import in the database also quotation excel files include the active price quotations provided to clients, or elaborate the active quotation directly from the system.
